The charts below breaks down the language of instruction for each subject depending on the French pathway your child chooses. For your information, "The Arts" refers to Visual Arts, Music, Drama and Dance. Some schools may teach one or more of these strands in French on the Grade 4-6 Extended French pathway.

Learn about our approach

Grades 9 to 12 Core French

Students on the Core French pathway are required to obtain one French credit, however they are encouraged to continue to take French Language Arts courses throughout high school. Learn more about the Core French Pathway.

Grades 9 to 12 French Immersion

Students on the French Immersion pathway are required to obtain ten French credits. At the high school level, we offer students a wide variety of subjects in which they can learn in French that include Geography, History, Religion, Civics, Career Studies, Physical Education, and French Language Arts.
