Our annual Director’s Forum brought parents and school staff together to discuss topics that are meaningful to our school communities. This free event gave guests new skills to apply in their lives to improve their relationship with their child and their school.
Keeping home and school connected
This year’s forum addressed the many challenges of school and home communication in the digital age. Together, attendees explored high and low tech solutions to improve communication between school and home. This event was great for everyone, whether they were new to social media or a seasoned online expert. Guests were encouraged to B.Y.O.D -- bring your own device. Everyone brought their tablets, smartphones and laptops to get the most out of this interactive learning experience.
Free Twitter tech support offered by students
The Director's Forum hosted a special opportunity for guests to bring their own device and register for Twitter! Those who didn't have their own device were provided with Chromebooks. Our elementary students provided free Twitter tech support to help people create a Twitter account and begin tweeting using basic principles. If you missed the forum, or didn't get a chance to meet with our students, view our Getting Connected on Twitterguide to help you get started.
