Child care program options in OCSB schools

The Ottawa Catholic School Board understand that it takes time to find the right care for your child. There are a wide variety of child care options in our OCSB school facilities. These programs offer a warm, caring and secure environment where children can learn through play in your very own community school. Register early with the City of Ottawa’s Centralized Waiting List if you are considering using any of the following child care options. You can register as soon as your child is born.

Some of our schools have programs operated directly by OCSB staff, and others by the Ottawa Catholic Child Care Corporation (OCCCC). The OCCCC is a non-profit organization that operates licensed child care programs. Its centres promote social skills, life skills and knowledge of self, through activities, which are developmentally appropriate for the children in care. A few of our schools also lease school space to other licensed child care operators.

Building Bridges

Moving from Preschool to Kindergarten

Understanding the value of the early years and a smooth transition from preschool to school, our Board has developed the Building Bridges initiative. The goal of the initiative is to facilitate the transition process for the child by increasing communication between the parents, child care program staff and the school.
