Monique Haché wins IDÉLLO French teaching award

IDÉLLO is a multilevel digital platform designed to cater and adapt to different types of learning. The platform brings teachers, early childhood educators, students and parents an array of resources and functions that offers thousands of rich, up-to-date educational resources in French.

Each year, IDÉLLO honours teachers who practice teaching strategies that are original and relevant, enhance the French language culture and are representative of the diversity of the school community. The IDÉLLO award is open to all certified teachers working in Ontario-funded schools. The 2017 award winner in the category of French as a second language, was Monique Haché, French-Immersion teacher at All Saints High School. Congratulations! Watch the video.

Teacher Learning and Leadership Program (TLLP)

The Teacher Learning and Leadership Program (TLLP) is an annual project-based program facilitated by the Ontario Ministry of Education that provides grants for experienced classroom teachers to undertake self-chosen, self-directed, job-embedded professional development projects to expand their knowledge, develop leadership skills, and share exemplary practice.

Each year a board committee identifies two of the applications received to recommend to the Ministry of Education for funding. The project leads for one of the approved projects, Patricia Fiorino, St. Michael, Corkery and Rola Tibshirani, All Saints High School, presented their thesis and learning to the Board. Kelly McKibbin is the Board Website Coordinator with the Ottawa Catholic School Board’s Communications Department, and manages all aspects of the Board’s district website. Kelly holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from the University of Ottawa, is the recipient of a United Way Ottawa Community Builder Award.
